The Making are a four piece rock band, based in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland. Their first single “Summers Gone” gathered some great interest from the Irish music media and gained them a loyal fan base. Their second single” Beautiful Tonight” currently on iTunes and can be seen on their website. They have quickly become one of the most interesting Irish bands of the last decade with their catchy melodies and themes of social reality.

Their sound has been described as a cross between Blondie and REM. Their big influences are however steeped in the Folk, Rock and Glam music of the 70’s.

Their frontman is Brendan Mc Cahey, who also writes all the songs is very optimistic for The Making in 2012.

Their debut album “Expectations” was released in June of this year and is available for download on iTunes. There new album boasts some beautiful slow and pensive songs as well as some great rockin’ and lasting guitar licks.


Their second single “beautiful Tonight” is a great piece of rockin pop with a super chorus guitar riff and banging drums. Hot-press magazine described it as “a ditty bit of janglesome pop”
